Denia
Denia is the largest, most northern town in the Marina Alta. It is a working town but still a popular tourist resort mainly due to its 20km of sandy beaches.
Denias position at the foot of the magnificent Montgo mountain offers residents a wealth of opportunity for both walking and viewing the wildlife.
The facilities in and around the town are excellent, a brand new hospital, a wide variety of shops, bars and restaurants and all of the other services that you could require.
Golfers are particularly spoilt with both the La Sella and Oliva Nova top class courses nearby.
The port has a definite Mediterranean feel, cafes and restaurants line the streets so you can watch the busy marina at work. This is the gateway to the Balearic islands, there is a regular ferry to Ibiza which is only 80 miles away.
North of Denia you will find the urbanisations of Els Poblets and El Vergel where there has been a lot of development a short drive from the beaches. Here you will find bargain villas, townhouses and apartments due to the volume that is available.
