Calpe
The town of Calpe is dwarfed by the Penon de Ifach {Ifach Rock}, this wonderful rock, which is a natural park, constantly changes colour and definition depending on the weather and time of day and features in every sea view for miles.
Calpe is a town full of history and traditional Spanish architecture and features lots of the characteristic narrow windy streets. Two large sandy beaches and lots of hotels and apartments for rent means that the town is transformed in the summer months into a busy cosmopolitan resort. It is popular with families, scuba divers, hikers and climbers, there is something for everyone.
There are many residential apartments of varying qualities near the town centre and along the beach fronts, most with sea views. The town is surrounded by urbanisations of both detached villas and town houses, with the newest developments being the on the inland side of Las Salinas salt lake, where you will often see both Flamingos and Herons.
The main beach promenade is a very popular area for walking and socialising and you are spoilt for choice with cafes, bars and restaurants where you can sit and enjoy the sea view.
The town centre has most types of shops and there are many more larger stores on the outskirts of the area.
